It’s not a destination to become a better-self,

it’s a journey.

#MeetTheHost

  • Courage, enthusiasm, and tremendous love to build An's – Vanny always shows that energy on her journey to form the business and this big family.

Vanny majored in Business Event Management in Sydney, Australia, and then had the opportunity to work in two big hotels in this lovely city. In 2018, Vanny set her passion aside and returned to Vietnam to support the family business. After a few years, she decided to come back to her dream of having An’s, so at the beginning of 2022, she started her journey to make it a reality.

She believes that An’s not only a home for every guest but also a serene home where each staff member feels connected and trusted. Vanny shares her bigger ambition that is “An's together with everyone, create a disciplined, well-organized and the most honest workplace for everyone to develop their profession. Let everyone strive every day to become better professionally as well as improve in their personal life. Finally, for whoever joins the team to understand that only when you do the right thing and be responsible, then you can discover the true love for your job and worth of living".

  • Born and raised in Hanoi, Cuong spent most of his childhood living with his grandparents, who inspired him a passion for cooking. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends at first; thus, it gradually became a passion that Cuong decided to attend Culinary Arts along with his major in Business Management at the University.

During his career, Cuong is beyond humbled to have many opportunities to work with both local and international chefs. However, he still nourishes a dream to have a place where he can call “home” and treat the guests with his foods.

At An’s, Cuong and the team create dishes inspired by Vietnamese home-food, embracing local ingredients and seasonal features. “Good food is not only about how great the taste is, or how beautiful the way we present, but also about the feelings and memories that we can create for our customer. All of that is made by being disciplined, staying focused, and the most important thing: heart”. With that, Cuong aims to deliver a progressive approach to authentic Vietnamese food to not only domestic guests but also international diners.

Annie Luong

SPA MANAGER

  • Annie majored in Human Resources Management in Australia and used to spend time working part-time for a few Vietnamese restaurants, much like many other international students, to get experience and extra earnings for personal expenses. However, she didn’t anticipate that it would turn into a passion for the customer service industry. Upon her return to Vietnam and after a year of working for a human resources company, she made the decision to pursue her earlier passion by joining An’s, a story-telling house that she calls it her second home.

Annie has been working closely with the team attending to details throughout the entire house from the very beginning. She participated in idea creation, construction supervision and operation procedure formation. She especially dedicates her effort to An’s Spa, a private spa that offers complete relaxation for the body and mind, spreading a well-being-centered lifestyle.

With a clear vision of service quality using organic and sustainable products, Annie shares, “Every visitor to An's, regardless of the service they choose to utilize, will be able to experience the warmth and sincere hospitality that we strive to provide”.

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Born in a family with an accounting base, Duyen defined her career since young. Being the youngest in the Management team, Duyen joins An’s in a multi-tasking position and is definitely An’s right-hand woman, who is responsible for accounting, purchasing and treasuring, ensuring An’s operation runs smoothly and accurately.

“Accounting is the language of business” is her guide and belief as numbers work the same way anywhere. Understanding the meaning behind every number and figure, Duyen contributes to making suggestions for business decisions.

  • Being in her position, Vy has contributed to gathering talents for An’s big family from its start. After graduating in Office Administration, Vy realized her interest in Human Resources, so she chose it as her career path and used to work in various industries, namely Real Estate, Digital Marketing, Education… Having said that, with a special connection with An’s, she decided to join the team to start her journey in F&B.

Understanding that the personnel is the most valuable asset of an establishment, Vy shares “It is a wonderful job to assist and watch people grow up; but contributing to the gradual development of An’s through people who have worked diligently is a pleasure”.

Preserving Baby’s Breath Campaign in Quan Ba,
Ha Giang Province (March, 2024)

Within the framework of the Preserving Baby’s Breath Campaign in Quản Bạ, Hà Giang Province, organized by the Vietnam Children's Fund Social Enterprise and VinaCapital Foundation’s Survive To Thrive program, we had the opportunity to accompany and attend the handover ceremony at Quan Ba General Hospital after about 2 months of fundraising activities.

We hope for nothing more than to contribute a small part to safeguarding the health of children, in general and particularly in Ha Giang province. Together, with all doctors and nurses, we hope to spread love and compassion from communities, sponsors and volunteers to mothers and children in remote areas.

“Countless things, endless effort, but joy in simply partaking”.

We want to extend our gratitude to all sponsors, our family, and friends who joined hands with the team to contribute to this project.

Mid-Autumn Festival
(September, 2023)

Once again, An’s reunited with the children in Mai Am Thien Than Orphanage (District 9, Thu Duc City) in the days leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Many of them had grown bigger, yet their adorable features remained unchanged. As the full moon day neared, everyone was excited for the celebration with lanterns, gifts, and cakes in hand. We all wished for these little angels to grow up as strong, obedient, and peaceful people.

That night, while the moon illuminated the world outside, it was the children's eyes that shone the brightest in An's heart. Our collective wish was for their enduring health and boundless happiness.

A special service by
An’s & The Monkey Gallery (September, 2023)

This ‘service’ event got underway earlier than usual. The kitchen at An’s had been buzzing since the previous night, preparing ingredients of beef stew dishes to say ‘mời cơm’ (a Vietnamese bon appétit) with elderly people in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.

An’s is so grateful and thrilled to have had many friends, both old and new, especially The Monkey Gallery team come together to help out, understanding that ‘no matter how much we do, it never quite seems enough, but we’re still happy to be able to do it.’

New Book - New School Year (August, 2023)

A mini project on a beautiful Monday of ours at Cay Cam Church. Together we supported local people with difficulties in Binh Duong Province.
